Our Mission
The ICNM has appointed Yvonne Wilcox as Director of Marketing & Communications. Yvonne has been working in Public Relations for the past 20 years and come from a commercial background working with both large and small organisations including some charities.
Yvonne's immediate task is to increase the profile of the ICNM to members, potential members and the general public to ensure the ICNM maintains its role as the voice of complementary medicine.
"The ICNM is a pioneer in its field with a long history of supporting and promoting CAM. Right now, the market is wide open for CAM because people are increasingly interested in trying new ways of approaching their healthcare." says Yvonne
Her role includes enabling the ICNM to raise standards in both training and practice so the public can be confident about going to a qualified practitioner or therapist.
Yvonne adds: "This is an exciting time for the ICNM. We are celebrating 20 years of the BRCP and look ahead to forging stronger links with allopathic medicine and work towards providing a truly holistic platform of knowledge for the benefit of the public, therapists and practitioners."
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Jan Davidson to our team. Jan is joining us as Academic & Research Consultant, to develop Member services, training standards and development of Senior Practitioner/Fellowship status of the British Register. We will be writing to Members shortly with further news of these developments.
We are also delighted to welcome Lord Ken Atherton to our group of Patrons. Many of you will know Ken's work in the field of acupuncture and through the Acupuncture Council. We are extremely pleased to have his continued support for ICNM and the British Registrar.
